Johnson Controls’ Česká Lípa plant is one of their largest battery volume production plants worldwide. This plant supplies boxes, lids and top covers for automotive batteries, which are manufactured at a Johnson Controls plant in the same industrial park. The new plastics plant will help make Johnson Controls’ practices more sustainable by reducing transportation distances. The battery production plant in Česká Lípa supplies one of the largest volumes of batteries to customers among plants owned by Johnson Controls, a global multi-industrial company.

The poly plant equipment features a range of best-in-class technologies as well as sustainable practices. A portion of the plant’s power will come from solar panels on the roof. An advanced recycling system will allow Johnson Controls to minimize plastic waste by reincorporating all unused scrap into the production process. At full capacity the plant will be able to produce more than 15 million battery boxes, top covers and lids each year.

To replace over 930 square meters or 10,000 square feet of existing epoxy floor.

Preparation – The existing epoxy flooring had to be removed as a first step.

The grinders served multiple functions during the surface prep stage. They were a good solution for profiling the floors as well as the removing the ecological ballast, lead dust from autobaterie production, before the painting and sealing application of coatings and paints were applied.
